The General Object Tracking System, GOTS traces medical and dental implant products from the manufacturer to the hospital, clinic or dental practice to the treating and operating physician or dentists and the patient. Tracking and tracing of implant products and reports is done on several levels.

• Tracing implant products
• To the hospital or clinic where the product was delivered
• To the operating physician who performed the implant procedure
• To the treating physician of the patient receiving the implant
• To the patient receiving the implant
• To the clinic where the patient received rehabilitation treatment
• Identifying manufacturers of implant products
• Which manufacturers deliver a certain type of implant (e.g. hip implants) to a hospital.
• Incident reports
• For which products and manufacturers were medical incident reports issued and by whom?
• Product notifications
• Which manufacturers issued product notifications, for which products and to whom?
